"Aloha has beautiful consistency but is not substantially different in colour from other dark turquoises. I think it’s like Smurfy but smoother and nicer to work with." – Melanie Graham

CiM Tester Feedback

  • Aloha is similar to, but slightly different in hue from other turquoises like Smurfy and Fremen.
Smurfy has a bit more green to it and is not as bright as Aloha. Aloha is a great color. – Gloria Sevey
Aloha is a vibrant tropical blue. The slightly darker than turquoise Fremen, the opaque color reminds me of a spring Bluebird. – Heather Sellers
I think Aloha looks like Smurfy. – Jolene Wolfe

Aloha on top of African Violet. "Notice the slight striation in each dot that created a circle within each dot." Read more at Darlene's blog.

"Aloha is a really nice bright opaque aqua/turquoise. While Quetzal was slightly on the green side of Effetre's turquoise, Aloha is slightly on the blue side and a bit brighter. It's also a shade darker than CiM Fremen, and a bit bluer than Smurfy. It's not really an exact match of any other color that I am aware of, so it's a wonderful addition to the palette. What I really love about Aloha is that it's not as reactive as the Effetre turquoises. There's no silvery patina on the finished beads, and there's not a lot of striation - just a smooth, consistent bright aqua." Read more at Kandice's blog.

"I tried a reduction on this bead - quite a dramatic red." Read more at DragonJools blog.

"Aloha is a rich, bright, dark turquoisey blue. It’s surprisingly streak-free, for a blue like this, and it doesn’t pit or fizz like Effetre Dark Turquoise 236 does. Darker than CiM Fremen, Aloha is just a glorious, happy, bright blue. It’s great to work with too; a straightforward, unfussy glass." Read more at Laura's tumblr.
